WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Walla Walla Women's Basketball was held to two points in the first quarter and lost to Northwest University 45-34 in a Cascade Conference game at Sherwood Athletic Center on Friday.
The loss was the fifth straight for the Wolves and dropped their record to 4-15 overall and 1-12 in CCC action.
Despite the loss, senior
Chariah Daniels recorded another double-double and continued to rewrite the WWU record book. Daniels had 13 points, 14 rebounds and four steals in the game. The senior now has over 700 career rebounds as she continues to extend her lead.Â
Daniels also topped 200 rebounds this season, it is only the third time since Walla Walla joined the NAIA in 2009 that a WWU women's basketball player reached that milestone, the other two times were also done by Daniels. The Wichita, Kan. native also passed
Jaliyah Casem for the most steals in a career at Walla Walla as Daniels is now at 177 all-time.
Senior
Jordan Green-Wallace became the eighth WWU player to reach 20 blocks all-time with a block on Friday.
Natalee Trevino had 10 points and six rebounds.
It was a tough day shooting for both teams at Whitman College. The Wolves shot 11-of-51 (21.6%) from the floor and 1-of-17 (5.9%) from beyond the arc. The Eagles were slightly better at a 16-of-56 (28.6%) mark and 6-of-23 (26.1%) from the 3-point line.
Ellie De Waard had 10 points and nine rebounds to lead Northwest. Jersey McGehee had eight points and four steals and Kaleah Madeiros made three blocks.
The win improved the Eagles' record to 5-13 overall and 4-8 in conference play and snapped a six-game losing streak.

The Wolves will play Evergreen State at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in a game that will be played at Walla Walla Community College.
