CALDWELL, Idaho — The Walla Walla Women's Volleyball lost in the penultimate game of the regular season to No. 18 College of Idaho in straight sets on Thursday.
The Wolves (12-10, 10-9) had won the first meeting between the two in an epic five-set comeback. College of Idaho (17-9, 11-8) earned the victory this time by set scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-19.
Sahara Browning reached a milestone no other WWU volleyball player has ever come close to with her 1,000th kill. Browning reached the milestone early in the second set and continued to rewrite the Walla Walla record book. The junior finished with 10 kills and her career total now sits a 1,005. The second most in program history (since the Wolves joined the NAIA in 2009) is Natalie Wilkening with 651.
Yaimaris Garcia led Walla Walla with 20 assists,
Vicky Giardina had eight digs in the game.
Adree Selley,
Paula Flores and Browning had two aces each.
Brooke Garman led the Yotes with 10 kills. Shaynee McWilliams had 16 assists and Mia Hutchinson had seven digs. A key to the game was the front line of College of Idaho. Cierra Bohrn, Alexa Wheeler and Abigail Flerchinger had eight blocks apiece in the win.

The Wolves will wrap up the regular season against No. 2 Eastern Oregon on Sunday before participating in the CCC Postseason Tournament starting on Tuesday.
