EUGENE, Ore. — The Bushnell Men's Basketball team defended home court in a 90-78 victory against Walla Walla in a Cascade Conference game at Morse Center on Friday.
The loss dropped the Wolves' record to 4-21 overall and 3-18 in CCC action.
Soren Dalan recorded his 19th double-double with a team-high 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Almonds Sebirokwa added 13 points,
Thomas Mestrov scored 12 and
Kekoa Beard finished with 10 points.
Andrew Vaughan finished with 15 points to push his season total to 404, a career best. Vaughan now owns the sixth best scoring season in Walla Walla men's basketball history since joining the NAIA in 2009. Up next is Tristan Greenidge who scored 435 points in the 2010-11 season.
The Wolves trailed by 17 points at halftime and as much as 23 points, but never gave up and outscored the Beacons in the second half. Walla Walla made 21-of-37 (56.8%) of its second half attempts. WWU had 56 points in the paint and outrebounded Bushnell 40-39.
Cory Johnson led Bushnell with 21 points. Kaleb Burnett added 17 points, Luke Smith scored 14 and Ashton Harvey finished with 10 points in the win. The Beacons improved to 13-14 overall and 9-12 in CCC play and clinched the final Cascade Conference playoff spot with the victory.
