Daniels records another double-double in loss to Beacons


EUGENE, Ore. — Senior Chariah Daniels recorded her 42nd double-double, but the Walla Walla Women's Basketball team lost to Bushnell 76-52 in a Cascade Conference game at Morse Center on Friday.

Daniels had 11 points and 10 rebounds along with five assists and two steals. Since the Wolves joined the NAIA in 2009 no other women's basketball player has recorded more than five double-doubles.

Senior Jordan Green-Wallace led Walla Walla with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting. Natalee Trevino added 12 points. The Wolves had 30 points in the paint and had 11 points off 13 turnovers.

The loss dropped the Walla Walla record to 7-20 overall and 4-17 in CCC action.

Ayden Krupke led Bushnell with 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting. Ellis Mastel added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Libby Mathis finished with 11 points.
The Beacons shot 52.5% (31-of-59) on the day and led by as much as 30 points.
Bushnell improved to 11-16 overall and 10-11 in conference play.
