COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — The Walla Walla Women's Basketball team lost to (RV) Southern Oregon 82-47 in a Cascade Conference game on Saturday night at Windemuth Court.
The Wolves dropped to 2-10 overall and 0-6 in CCC play. The Raiders improved to 10-4 on the season and remain in a tie for second place in the conference with a 5-1 record.
Freshman
Brooklyn Coe led Walla Walla with 17 points with three 3-pointers, three assists and three rebounds.
Sidney Folkenberg had six points and led WWU with six rebounds.
The Wolves struggled from beyond the arc with a 5-of-26 (19.2%) mark and only shot 27.1% from the field against a tough SOU defense. Walla Walla forced 14 turnovers and scored seven points off those turnovers.
Southern Oregon was led by Bridgette McIntyre and her 22 points. Millie Day had 13 points and six rebounds. Eliza DiGiulio and Sage Winslow finished the game with 11 points each. Alex Bullock filled up the stat sheet with six points, five rebounds, five steals and four assists.
Walla Walla kept the game competitive in the first quarter before the Raiders took control. SOU outscored the hosts 32-12 in the second quarter and led by as much as 38 in the game.

The Wolves go on the road next week when they take on their third consecutive opponent that received votes in the latest NAIA poll in a contest against No. 18 Corban on Friday.
