SALEM, Ore. — The Walla Walla Women's Basketball team could not slow down No. 18 Corban in a 105-48 Cascade Conference loss on Friday afternoon.
The Wolves dropped to 2-11 overall and 0-7 in CCC action. The Warriors improved to 13-2 on the season and 6-1 in conference play.
Freshman
Brooklyn Coe led Walla Walla with 16 points with two 3-pointers.
Jaylo Bello added 13 points and four steals.
The Wolves hit four 3s in the second quarter, but were unable to find the bottom of the net from long range the rest of the game and went 4-of-19 in the game. WWU scored 14 points off Corban turnovers and 16 points in the paint.
The ranked-Warriors scored in triple figures behind Jersey Huerta's 20-point performance. Huerta added seven rebounds and seven assists. Izzy McCauley had 18 points, Tayla Yost added 12 points in the win and Emilia Bishop and Mandi Jensen finished with 11 points each.
Corban made over half of its attempts with a 51.4% field goal percentage and forced 27 turnovers. The Warriors scored 38 points in the paint and made 19 from beyond the arc.
