Dalan Sets Program Record for Double-Doubles

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Junior Soren Dalan had 26 points and 11 rebounds for his 25th career double-double, a program record, but the Walla Walla Men's Basketball team lost to Evergreen State 99-87 in a Cascade Conference contest on Saturday.

Dalan broke a tie with KiAndre Gaddy who had 24 double-doubles from 2019-22. The junior's 26 points put him just two points away from the 1,000 career point milestone, a feat that only four other placers in WWU Men's Basketball history has accomplished since 2009.

The Wolves dropped to 1-23 overall and 1-17 in conference play. The Geoducks improved to 4-16 on the season and 4-14 in the CCC.

Jordan Jackson had 22 points and eight rebounds for Walla Walla. Chike Ezeonu added nine points and Reese Snellman contributed eight assists. Snellman improved his assist total to 92 on the season, fourth most since 2009. Ethan Ford holds the program record at 107.

The Wolves outrebounded Evergreen State 43-37 and brought down 16 offensive rebounds. WWU had 44 points in the paint, 22 bench points and made six 3-pointers.

Tony Frohlich-Fair led TESC with 22 points. Bradley Graham added 21 points, Tyler No had 11 points and Jayson Mathews finished with 10 points. The Geoducks had 38 points inside and 21 points off turnovers.

Walla Walla last held the lead with 16:25 left in the game when Dalan scored inside to make it 55-53. Evergreen State made a 3 just 19 seconds later and never gave the Wolves the advantage on the scoreboard again.
