OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Walla Walla Women's Basketball team dropped its final road game of the season 62-53 to Evergreen State in a Cascade Conference game on Saturday night.
The Wolves dropped to 3-21 overall and 1-17 in conference play. The Geoducks earned their first win of the year and are now 1-20 on the season and 1-17 in CCC action.
Jaylo Bello led WWU with 24 points and added four steals and four rebounds. The sophomore is up to 381 total points this season, seventh most in program history since joining the NAIA in 2009. Bello is 38 points away from passing Carolina Montes for the school record. The Tonasket, Wash., native leads the CCC with 19.1 points per game.
Sidney Folkenberg added 11 points and seven boards. The junior is one rebound away from reaching the 300-board milestone that only five other WWU Women's Basketball players have reached since 2009.
Meghan Rasmussen had nine points and six rebounds.
The Wolves scored 22 points in the paint and led by as much as five in the first quarter. Long range shooting was the struggle for WWU. Walla Walla went 3-of-26 from beyond the arc.
Bayleigh Harder led Evergreen State with 18 points and nine rebounds. Jenna Glenzel added 17 points and nine boards for the home team.
