COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. —
Jaylo Bello had 15 points for the Walla Walla Women's Basketball team in an 81-36 loss to Bushnell in a Cascade Conference contest on Friday afternoon.
Bello pushed her season total to 396, fifth-most in a single season in program history since joining the NAIA in 2009. The sophomore is 22 points behind Carlina Montes for the record. Bello also tied for the team high with six rebounds and three assists.
The Wolves dropped to 3-22 overall and 1-18 in conference play. The Beacons improved to 7-20 on the year and 5-14 in CCC action and kept themselves alive for a possible postseason berth.
Sidney Folkenberg became the sixth in career rebounds since 2009 to surpass the 300 mark. Folkenberg brought down four boards today and pushed her total to 303. Next on the career list is Isabella Robles at 311 career rebounds.
Allison Haslam and
Maddie Dietrich added four points each.
Delaney Gunther brought in six rebounds and Haslam had three assists.
Kyra Quinn had three 3-pointers for Bushnell and led the visitors with 11 points. Maddie Gerhart and Sabrina Flowers had 10 points apiece. The Beacons outrebounded the Wolves 52-34 and held WWU to 25% shooting from the field.
