Bello Sets Program Scoring Record Again

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla Women's Basketball player Jaylo Bello's single-game program scoring record lasted 76 days before she topped it by four points in a 38-point performance on Saturday.

Despite the scoring performance by Bello, who returned after missing four games with a concussion, the Wolves dropped a Cascade Conference game to Warner Pacific in a 98-68 loss.

Walla Walla dropped to 3-19 overall and 1-15 in conference play. The Knights improved to 10-13 on the season and 6-10 in CCC action.

Bello set the program record (since joining the NAIA in 2009) on Nov. 23, 2025 when she scored 34 points. She tied her own record with a 34-point performance against Northwest where she also set a program record with eight 3-pointers. Tonight, Bello went 13-of-30 from the field with seven 3s and was a strong 5-of-6 from the free throw line. The sophomore also led the Wolves with five rebounds.

Allison Haslam was second on WWU with 17 points and led Walla Walla with seven assists and three steals. Sidney Folkenberg added nine points and Delaney Gunther finished with four points.

The Wolves recorded an assist on 16-of-26 made field goals and had nine offensive rebounds. WWU forced nine turnovers and scored 13 points off of those extra opportunities and had 22 points in the paint.

Warner Pacific had 16 3-pointers as a team on just 28 attempts. Shielteal Watah led the effort with 24 points with six made 3s. KJ Custer added 17 points, Skylar Groesbeck had 14 points and Bryten Gumke finished with 11 points.
