Castillo finished tied for 32nd, followed by Braiden Ermshar and Jack MacLachlan, who both tied for 39th at 15-over par. Andrew Payne finished 42nd at 16-over par, while Isaac Sheu rounded out the Wolves' scoring in 48th at 18-over par.
Head coach Andrew Kuljis said the team's response between the first and second rounds was an encouraging sign to open the season. "Our men's team showed tremendous improvement, dropping 23 shots from Round 1 to Round 2," Kuljis said. "That kind of improvement and response is exactly what we want to see."
The Wolves will look to build on their performance at the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational when they travel to Portland, Ore. for the Tournament of Knights, hosted by Warner Pacific University, on Sept. 13-14.
