Box Score
COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Lauren Pernu had a game high 18 points but it wasn't enough to overcome a 30-15 first quarter run from visiting Multnomah University.

The Lions got on the board first going up 5-0 on a Lacie Kamper layup but the Wolves answered right back with a 3 pointer from Grace Wallace. Multnomah would go up 12-3 but it was Grace again that would drain another shot from behind the arc to bring the game to 10-15.

Multnomah (3-9, 1-3) would go on a 15 to 5 run to finish the first quarter 30-15.

Second quarter would see the MU's largest lead of the game at 23 after Karissa Cox hit a shot from behind the arc off a Bethany George assist. This seemed to spark the Wolves (0-8, 0-3) as they chipped away at the Lions lead with shots Christina Thermidor, Lauren Pernu and Janessa Blaser. Kassidy Kuykendall and Janessa Blaser hit back to back free throws to bring the game to within 8. MU's Ana Wakefield brought the half to an end by draining a 3 of her own and went into half with a 46-35 lead.

The Wolves shooting cooled off in the last two quarters as the Lions outscored the Wolves 28 to 21 to take their first Cascade Conference league win.

WWU out shot MU 39% from the field to 35% and 46% from behind the arc to 37.5% but MU was able to capitalize on a 22 to 7 points off of turnovers ration that ultimately decided the outcome.

Stat leaders for Multnomah were Ana Wakefield with 14 points, Karissa Cox with 11 points and Miranda Schmillen with a double-double, 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Wolves were led by Lauren Pernu with a game high 18 points to go along with her 8 rebounds. Janessa Blaser added 10 points and Grace Wallace and Charity Underwood each had 9. Kassidy Kuykendall had a game high 11 takeaways along with her 6 points.
