College Place, Wash.- The fall home season is winding down this weekend, as volleyball plays their last home matches of the season.  The Wolves are excited to honor four seniors this weekend, three of whom are finishing up their fourth year as a part of Wolves athletics.  The soccer team hits the road for a single game this weekend in Portland against Multnomah University.  The golf teams have the weekend off and softball heads to Lewiston for the last of their fall ball season.  Men's and women's basketball is just around the corner! Preview's will be coming soon.

Soccer- October 22 at Multnomah University, 8:00p.m.

The soccer has a rarity in their schedule this weekend as they only have one match.  The Wolves take on the Lions of Multnomah University (2-12, 0-10).  Multnomah sits just one spot ahead of Walla Walla in the standings.  Last weekend Multnomah lost to Corban University and Northwest.  Multnomah has played well on defense, they rank second in the CCC in saves and Manny Guillermo has the most saves in conference with 118.  Noe Favila leads the team in goals with five on the year.

This last weekend the Wolves took on two tough opponents in Corban and Northwest Christian.  The Wolves played very well for most of their match Friday against Corban.  On Saturday they played some of their best defense of the season against the Beacons.  The Wolves have made major improvements on both ends of the pitch.

Volleyball –October 21 Southern Oregon University, 3:00p.m. –October 22 Oregon Tech, 8:00p.m.

The Raiders of Southern Oregon (12-9, 9-5) are currently sitting in fifth place in the Cascade Conference.  Six teams move on to the CCC playoffs and Southern Oregon is looking to hold their spot.  To stop them from doing that the Wolves will have to watch out for the Raiders powerful block, they lead the CCC with 189 total blocks on the season, almost 2.5 per game.  Courtney Macklin is the leading Raiders the block with 1.25 per set.  Emma Gasman is leading SOU in kills with 252 on the season and she also has 80 blocks on the season.

On Saturday night the Wolves take on the Oregon Tech Owls.  The Owls are locked in a three-way tie for sixth place and they have to go through Southern Oregon and the Wolves this weekend to hold that position.  The Owls have relied on their balanced attack this season, Kelsey Sampson leads the team in kills with 221, setter Waverly Green has 515 assists and Bailey Nelson is 6th in the conference in service aces with 21.
This weekend for the Wolves is really about our seniors.  We have four seniors this year, we are grateful for their contributions and looking forward to cheering them on for their final home game.
