Lions Early Lead Carries Them Past Wolves

Portland, Ore. – In a rare morning game, the Wolves faced off against Multnomah University.  After taking an early lead over Walla Walla, Multnomah was able to maintain control throughout the game and the Lions beat the Wolves 89-64.
 
Game Notes
  • Alyssa Blankenship lead all Wolves in scoring (24), rebounds (14) and assists (5)
  • Lexi Ehlers had 13 points, her second highest points total of the season
  • Miranda Schmillen lead the Lions in scoring with 18 points
  • The Wolves finished the game with 13 assists, which is 2 above their average
  • Walla Walla outscored the Lions 24-14 in the 4th quarter
  • Multnomah was +3 on rebounds with a total of 51 for the game
 
How It Happened

After an 18-11 first quarter, Multnomah was able to build a 14-point lead heading into halftime.  The third quarter proved to be a tough one for the Wolves, as they were outscored by 23.  In the 4th quarter the Wolves outscored the Lions by 12 points, and they will look to take that strong finish with them into tomorrow night's game.

Next Up

The Wolves are at Warner Pacific College to take on the Knights.  Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
