Owls Wingspan Too Big for Wolves

The Lady Wolves faced Oregon Tech tonight at 6:30 pm, and the Owls continually held the lead throughout the game. 

The Wolves ended the first quarter down 21-11 to the Owls. #21 Sarah Halversen led Walla Walla with 6 points in the first quarter and was followed by #5 Michaela Garcia with 3 points.
 
Carolina Montes led the Wolves with a 3 in the first minute of the second quarter. Montes had a total of 4 points in the second quarter and was followed behind  by  Morgan Stanyer and Alyssa Blankenship with 2 points each. The Wolves were determined to do some damage to the Owls wing span, but the Owls proved to be too much for Walla Walla going into the half 36-17.
 
The Wolves had a slow start in the second half with the Owls continuing to have a 20 point lead. With 8:30 to go in the half Halversen had a momentous assist to Blankenship with a layup, quickly followed by Halversen with 2. The Wolves ended the quarter strong with 5 points in the last minute, 3 from Garcia and a 2 from Montes.
 

Oregon Tech took control of the fourth quarter and barely let the Wolves within a 20 point range. The final score was 69-46 Owls, with Wolves leaders Blankenship with 11 points and Garcia with 10 points.
