Wolves VS Geoducks Preview

College Place, Wash. – This Saturday and Sunday the Wolves take on the Evergreen State College Geoducks. Evergreen Men's Basketball is ranked 11th (1-7 conference, 2-15 overall) in the CCC and Women's Basketball is ranked 7th (4-4 conference, 6-6 overall) in the CCC.

    The Breakdown
     
    The Geoducks have had a rough start to their season, ranking 11th in the CCC conference with one win in conference against Northwest Christian University. Their floor leader is Pat Ling, is averaging about 14 points and 6 rebounds per game. They have a strong offense and average 70 points per game, but struggle to close games. In comparison, the Wolves have had a good shooting season so far averaging about 75 points per game and 37.6 rebounds. Walla Walla has the same in conference win to loss ratio (1-7 conference, 5-13 overall), and it will be interesting to see how the game pans out.

    Evergreen College has a resilient offense led by Cayla Jones, averaging 15.2 ppg and 5.8 rpg for the Geoducks. They have had a high scoring season with an average of 66.3 points per game and 38.7 rebounds per game. Walla Walla has been led by Sarah Halversen, averaging 11.5 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game. The Wolves have a record of 2-11 overall and will have to prepare for the Geoducks tough offense.
