Portland, Ore. – The Wolves had things rolling early against the Lions on Friday afternoon, but they were not able to lock down a much desired road win against Multnomah University.  Walla Walla lost the game 73-82 after going into halftime with a 5-point lead.

Game Notes
  • Stuart Tonack led all scorers with 15 points, on 6 of 8 shooting, in 14 minutes of action
  • The Wolves went into halftime leading 43 to 38, having shot 57.7% from the field and holding Multnomah to 27.5% from the field.
  • Dylan Browning had his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and lead the team in assists with 4
  • The Wolves shot 80% on FT's for the game, which is 13.5% above their season average
  • The Wolves had 11 different players score a least 2 points
  • Ben Grandle lead the Lions in scoring with 25 points, including going 6-15 on three-point field goals
How It Happened

The Wolves came out shooting well, and for the most part locked down Multnomah on defense in the first half.  The Lions stayed in the game early by hitting 7 first half three-point field goals and knocking down 9-13 free throws.  The second half played out almost the opposite of the first, as the Wolves shooting percentage dropped over 20%, and they did not make a three-point field goal in the last 20 minutes.  Multnomah was well below their season average on shooting percentage from the three-point line (34.5%), but they never stopped shooting.  The Lions finished with 13 made threes on 46 attempts.  This proved to be a major difference in the game as both teams made 27 field goals, and the Wolves finished with one more made free-throw in the game (16 to 15).

Next Up
