12/19/2016 2:09:00 PM

Paul Starkebaum, Sports Information Director

College Place, Wash. – It was just a little over a month ago that Walla Walla (1-9, 0-4) faced the Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College (9-3, 1-1).  The Warriors have gone 6-2 since playing the Wolves, including a 105-53 victory last night over Portland Bible College.

By the Numbers

  • Alec Calloway leads the Wolves in scoring with 15.7 ppg. Against the Warriors, Alex had 12 points
  • Doug McDaniel leads the Warriors in scoring with 18.8 points per game.  Against the Wolves last month McDaniel had 5 points and 6 rebounds, in just over 20 minutes of play
  • Anthony Sullen led the Warriors in scoring against the Wolves with 21 points.  He is averaging 13.2 ppg this season
  • Dylan Browning leads the Wolves in rebounding with 6.7 rebounds per game.  As a team the Wolves are pulling down 40.8 rpg
  • 6'6" Forward Zavon Jackson leads the Warriors in rebounding with 7.5 per game.  Against the Wolves, he and teammate Connor Desaulniers each pulled down 7 rebounds
  • The Wolves are shooting 35.5% from the three-point line, and Spencer Woodworth leads the team in shooting percentage at 54.5%* Saturday night against Warner Pacific College, Spencer had a season high 8 points, including 2 three-point field goals
  • The Warriors average 33.7% from the three-point line on the season, they went 16-43 for against the Wolves
*Highest shooting percentage of anyone over 10 attempts.

Things to Look for:

The last time these two teams faced off, the Wolves struggled to get their offense going.  As a team they shot 9% lower than their season average, and gave up 17 offensive rebounds.  Look for the Wolves to make adjustments tonight to improve their defensive rebounding.  The Wolves shared the ball well over the weekend with a combined 30 assists between the two games.  This should help tonight against the aggressive defense of the Warriors.
Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. tonight.  If you are planning to attend the game tonight you can check out more information on vising Lewis-Clark State College below.
