Geoducks Slide Past Wolves

Walla Walla jumped on the Geoducks within the first 30 seconds of the game, but could not prevail in the second half and suffered a loss to the Geoducks by 6.
 
From the beginning the Wolves had the lead on the Geoducks. Alec Calloway scored 7 of the 9 points in the first 5 minutes for the Wolves, and had 9 points going into the half. With 13 minuts left in the half Cameron Silver had a layup, taking the Wolves ahead by 5 with 11-6. With 6 minutes left Calloway had a jumper which Josh Hager followed with a 3 putting the Wolves ahead 25-17.  With 2 minutes left in the game Ryan Quigley had a layup for the Geoducks making it a tied game of 25-25. Michael Isotalo followed with a 3, and Evergreen retaliated with a layup from Jaurence Chrisholm, keeping the game close at 28-27. A three pointer from Cameron Silver put Walla Walla ahead by 4 going into the half 31-27.
 
Calloway started the Wolves off strong in the second half with a 3 and a layup, keeping the Wolves ahead 37-29. The Geoducks began to match the Wolves and the teams competed basket by basket. Two back to back jumpers from Pat Ling put Evergreen in a close scoring game of 39-35 with 15 minutes left in the half. The game got closer as Ryan Quigley had a layup and 2 FTs for the Geoducks, with Walla Walla ahead 43-40. Evergreen stole the lead after two more layups from Ling followed by a layup from Quigley, up 46-43. With 10 minutes left Isotalo brought the Wolves back in the game with a 3, tying them with the Geoducks 51-51. The game continued to be close, and Calloway ensured the Wolves stay in the game by banking a 3 and keeping Evergreen barely ahead 67-65. The game became a battle of layups until Isotalo had another 3 for the Wolves, but Walla Walla was still down 69-71. The Geoducks sealed the deal in the last minute, after 2 free throws from Ling and 2 from Jare Sager.
 
After a tough battle against the Geoducks, Walla Walla lost 69-75. Pat Ling led Evergreen with 22 points and 5 rebounds, followed by Ryan Quigley with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Walla Walla was led by Michael Isotalo with 18 points and Alec Calloway with 17 points and 2 rebounds.
