Geoducks Surpass Wolves

The Wolves played Evergreen State College this afternoon and were ahead for majority of the first half, but were unable to gain the lead in the second half of the game. The Geoducks were led by Pat Ling, and won 77-59.
 
Alec Calloway started the game off again with a jumper for the Wolves, followed by a 3 pointer from Cameron Silver.  Before the Geoducks were able to join the game Calloway had a 3 for the Wolves with 17 minutes left in the half, and the Wolves were up 8-0. Pat Ling and Ryan Quigley had layups for the Geoducks, but Walla Walla continued on an uphill run with a 3 from Michael Isotalo followed by a layup from Roy Zavala (11-4). The game got closer after back to back layups from the Wolves Dylan Browning and Evergreen's Pat Ling,  but the Wolves were still up 21-17. A 3 from Isotalo gave the Wolves an 8 point lead with 5 minutes left, Walla Walla 29-21 over Evergreen. The Geoduck's Dezmond Wilson tied the game up at 29-29 with 5 consecutive points, and free throws from Dustin Meade gave Evergreen their first lead of the game 31-30 with one minute left. The Wolves could not gain the lead back after a layup from Chisholm and free throws from Quigley, entering halftime down by one 34-35.
 
Evergreen remained in control of the second half and was continually up by four for the rest of the game. Alijah Robinson had a dunk for the Wolves with 17 minutes left with the Geoducks ahead 40-34. The gap between the teams began to grow as Kevin Clayton had a layup for Evergreen creating the largest lead of the game at 10 points, 44-34. The Wolves continued to battle but were unable to stay close to the Geoducks, and their lead grew to 20 points with 5 minutes left, 72-52. With 20 seconds left in the game Calloway broke the 20 point gap with a 3, bringing the Wolves within 17 points at 76-59.
 
Evergreen finished with a free throw from Ling, making the final score 77-59 Geoducks. Walla Walla had the lead for majority of the first half, but were not able to recover when Evergreen dominated the second half. The Wolves were led once again by Alec Calloway with 12 points and 4 rebounds, and Michael Isotalo with 11 points. The Geoducks were led by their only double digits player, Ryan Quigley with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
