Yotes Take Down Wolves

College Place, WASH. Walla Walla faced the College of Idaho this afternoon and lost 83-37. The Yotes captured the lead in the first half and maintained it throughout the whole game.
 
Walla Walla jumped to a 4-2 lead after baskets from Dylan Browning and Alec Calloway. The Yotes stole the lead with back to back three-pointers from Keun Palu-Thompson and Roosevelt Adams, up 11-6 with fifteen minutes left. A three-pointer from Roy Zavala brought the Wolves within a four-point range of the Yotes, 15-11. The College of Idaho retaliated with back to back three-pointers from Gibson Berryhill, giving Walla Walla a 9 point deficit. The Yotes lead grew  from 4 to 14 and were up 25-11 with 8 minutes left. Michael Isotalo had a three-pointer trailed by a layup from Zavala, bringing the Wolves within an 11 point range, 27-16. The Wolves finished the half down 20-30, after a three-pointer from Josh Hager.
 
The second half was a wild one for the College of Idaho beginning with a lead of 19 points with 15 minutes left, 27-46. With 11 minutes left Jacob Vargas had a layup for Walla Walla, bringing the Wolves to a 31-56 deficit. With 5 minutes left Dinesh Brown had a layup for the Wolves bringing the score to 37-77 and the College of Idaho had a 40 point lead. The Wolves were not able to close the gap in the second half, and the Yotes won 37-83.
 
The Yotes beat Walla Walla 83-37 this afternoon, and were led by Keun Palu-Thompson with 18 points and 3 rebounds, Roosevelt Adams with 16 points and 3 rebounds, and Gibson Berryhill with 14 points and 2 rebounds. The Wolves were led by Jacob Vargas with 8 points and 4 rebounds, and Roy Zavala with 7 points and 1 rebound.
