WWU Men’s Basketball vs. Portland State University

The Walla Walla University men's basketball team traveled to Portland, Oregon on Monday evening, to face Portland State University.
Portland State (6-4) won the game, 94-52, and really gave the Wolves some good competition.
Jordan Spady played one of his best games of the season, posting a team-high 22 points in 22 minutes of action. Luke Spady played well along-side his brother. He scored 10 points and added seven rebounds.
As a team, Walla Walla only shot 30% from the field, compared to the 58% of shots that Portland State converted on. The Wolves were down 46-29 going into the half, and were unable to close the gap as the game progressed.
Walla Walla native, Gary Winston scored 13 points for Portland State, including 3 of 7 from deep. DaShaun Wiggins led all scorers with 23 points.
Portland State is a member of the Division I Big Sky Conference, and they will begin their conference play January 1.
The Wolves continue to face tough competition, which you have to believe has helped this team grow and toughen up. The Wolves have played several very competitive teams, and continue to play hard and fight for that first win.
The home game on December 30, has been canceled for the Wolves, meaning their next game will be held at home Monday, January 5, against Multnomah Bible University.
