How it Happened
Walla Walla got down early but refused to go away.  A lay-up by Kenny Blackwell put the Beacons up 10-5 early in the game.  From there, the Wolves did not to the game slip away, fighting back into it and Dylan Browning put in a lay-up head to him by Isaiah Taylor but put the Wolves within one point at 23-22.  Two minutes later, Chad Torkelsen hit a three-pointer to give the Wolves a lead 28-26.  The game stayed very close, until the last three minutes, with the Beacons going on a 11-5 run to end the half that was topped off by a three-pointer from Jack Hackman.  Through the first ten minutes of the second half, the Wolves refused to let the game slip away and Stuart Tonack hit a jump shot with 10:36 on the clock to get Walla Walla within 8-points.  At this point the #5 ranked Beacons summed to put it all together on both ends of the court and used a 14-5 run to bump up their lead to 17 points with 5:37 left to play.  After battling hard for 40 minutes, the Wolves lost to Northwest Christian 72-95.
