WOMEN’S SOCCER

In a scrimmage that was pushed back two days, the Walla Walla Women’s Soccer team will take the pitch for the first time in the 2025 season against Walla Walla Community College at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at home.

Walla Walla finished its inaugural campaign with an 0-4 record in 2024, but second-year head coach Cameron Perron hopes that the experience gained from that first season will build to something special. The Wolves bring back half of the 20-player roster from last year and have added 15 new faces for the first full season as part of the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

This will be the first of two scheduled scrimmages that WWU will participate in before the start of CCC action. The Wolves will travel to Spokane, Wash. on Sept. 7 to play Spokane Community College in their final tuneup. Walla Walla will host The College of Idaho on Sept. 19 at College Place in the first official game of the 2025 season.

The Warriors of Walla Walla CC had a strong 11-3-5 record last year.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

After a historic 2024 season that saw the Wolves make the CCC postseason for the first time in program history, the Walla Walla Women’s Volleyball team will kick off the new season with a hot start. The Wolves will take on against Montana State University-Northern at 5 p.m. on Friday at the P1FCU Activity Center in Lewiston, Idaho.

Walla Walla went 9-16 last season, good enough for the No. 8 seed in the Cascade Conference Tournament. The Wolves want to improve on that historic run under second-year coach Kiana Krumm. WWU will bring back seven players from last year. AVCA All-American Honorable Mention, Sahara Browning, returns after stamping her name in the Walla Walla history books last season. All-CCC Honorable Mention, Natalia Jimenez, also makes her way back to the Wolves after 268 kills and 143 digs in 2024.

A full preview of the Walla Walla Women’s Volleyball season will be released on Wednesday.
