The Walla Walla University women's basketball team hosted a game against Montana State University-Northern, Saturday night.
The Wolves lost the game 89-34, and struggled against the size of their opponent. WWU was out rebounded 57-22. Ajha Edwards of MSUN finished the game with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks.
Michaela Garcia played well in 38 minutes of action, she had 17 points and was 3-4 from long range.
Lauren McCoy padded her defensive stats with four steals, and came away with six rebounds in 40 minutes.
The Wolves will continue to work and improve as they prepare for what's ahead. Next weekend Walla Walla is going to compete in the Whitman College Holiday tournament. There will be a game Saturday night, as well as Sunday. After that, the team will be off for a month as they break for Christmas vacation.
