LEWISTON, Idaho — Raegan Boyse had a career performance and the Walla Walla Women's Golf team is in fourth place, men are in seventh, after the first round of the Warrior Fall Invitational at the Lewiston Golf & Country Club on Monday.

Boyse beat her personal-best round with WWU by eight strokes with an 8-over 80. The junior had birdies on Nos. 6, 14 and 15 and finished the day in a tie for 11th place with her teammate Mariana Posada. Posada racked up two birdies on a pair of par 3s on Nos. 8 and 12.

Nell Dodds finished with a round of 88 in a tie for 21st, Hailey Warner shot 92 and Emily Keel finished with a 96. Gianna Davidson played as an individual and closed out Monday with a 99.

Walla Walla is in fourth place after the opening round with a team score of 52-over 340. The Wolves are 27 strokes behind leader (RV) Lewis-Clark State and 12 strokes behind College of Idaho for third place.

Nua Devaphalin had a clean round overall with a birdie on No. 1, a bogey on No. 9 and a double-bogey on No. 11 with 15 pars. The sophomore is just outside the top-10 with a 2-over 74 in 14th place.

Andrew Payne had three birdies in a round of 78 in a tie for 28th place. Eddie Tache tied Payne with a 78 of his own. Jack Maclachlan finished with a round of 80, Max Pena shot an 81 and Angelo Gallevo closed out his day with a round of 85. Andrew Payne (78) and Dane Petersen (91) both competed as individuals.

Walla Walla finished Monday in seventh place with a team score of 25-over 313. The Wolves are eight strokes behind Simpson and LC State's B-team for fifth place and 27 strokes behind leader (RV) Oregon Tech.
