CORVALLIS, Ore. — A week after earning her first weekly award, Walla Walla Women's Volleyball's Yaimaris Garcia was named the Cascade Conference Mcdonald's Setter of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for the second week in a row it was announced on Monday.

Garcia was a key factor in the Wolves' upset straight set victory over No. 11 Lewis-Clark State on Tuesday with 42 assists and three aces. It was the most assists in a three set match in program history. The freshman added 19 assists and five more aces in a straight set win against Warner Pacific on Saturday. Garcia is now second all-time in WWU history in career aces with 63 in less than a season played.

"Yaimaris had an exceptional week with 42 assists in just three sets versus LC State," Walla Walla coach Kiana Krumm said. "Her athleticism and quick offense is leaving our hitters one on one. I love allowing her to be creative while she plays."
Walla Walla will be back in action this weekend with its final two regular season home games against No. 23 Bushnell on Friday and No. 8 Corban on Saturday.
