MISSOULA, Mont. —
Ethan Heisler and
Cam Stam had top performances for the Walla Walla cross country teams at the Montana Invite on Friday.
The men finished sixth out of eight teams with a team score of 192. Isaac Acker had another strong showing with a time of 26 minutes and 32.4 seconds to finish in 29th place out of 77 runners of the 8K race.
Heisler ran a time of 27:24.4 to finish in 44th place.
Ryan Rosaasen finished with a time of 27:42.1 for 46th place.
Seth Huxel finished in 64th place (31:07.2),
Jordan Butcher took 72nd (32:54) and
Adrian Vera Preas crossed the line in 76th place (35:54.1).
The women finished in seventh place out of nine teams with a team score of 225. Freshman Stam had the best performance by the Wolves when she finished the 5K race in a time of 21:38.6, good enough for 48th place out of 72 runners.Â
Olivia Kreitner finished three places behind her teammate with a time of 22:06.4. Madelyn Ruiz crossed the line in 63rd place at 24:36.4.
Anna Shimolina took 64th place (24:52.3),
Danika Larson crossed the line in 69th place (28:40.7) and
Ana Ruiz finished in 72nd (31:25.2).

Walla Walla will participate in the Sasquatch Open in Spokane, Wash. on Oct. 24.
